5 tracks are done, ready for recording, and very dawless. Multiple years coasting the ethereal waves of deep hyperspace has given us a lot of time to make adjustments. And while we’re not done with Hyperspace yet, we can assure you, we’ve found our secret sauce.
There’s a special harmony that exists when all sounds and notes are in perfect balance. There’s a lot to explaining this phenomena to a terrestrial; let’s just say, you have to have a special connection to sound and a romantic commitment to your spaceship. A vt100 and their terminal is a special thing.
We found this, and thought it would be fun to share. Here’s the first blog post when we started coming out as alien (we were even still pretending to be human :: scanline-roll ::):
Now we’re out and everyone knows – we’re not from around here. We never were. And boy-howdy, has our spaceship changed over the years.
But we’re not ready to come out of hyperspace yet, even with nearly 50 minutes of music ready to go. We have to finish a few more. Yes, we know it’s been 2 years since we started this process, but sometimes these things take a few years. Our best guess for recording is now summer 2022 which puts hyperspace’s formal release into 2023. Guess you’ll just have to wait until then for our return (and Algorithm’s impending defeat).
Who knows, sometimes these things go faster than we calculate. Maybe we’ll get to record by spring? Well, we can’t rush it even if we are bio-mechanical creates with built-in beat sensors. Ah, nothing like a 4 or 5 year long project to get the electrons flowing.
And, we suppose, if you want to hear what’s ready now, head on over to the channel – we’re posting the completed works there prior to placing them on the next record. Recordings directly from hyperspace. You don’t have to take our word for it, we’re taking dawless to the next level (which is plaid) and the proof is right in front of you.
